So on Thursday (yes I realize I haven't posted in a couple days), Tyson wasn't doing very well. He didn't want to eat or drink anything. He also didn't want to take his pain killers. It was a BIG struggle to get him to swallow his pain medicine. But, he did want to paint in the morning and that was about all he did besides lay down and watch movies and sleep. Then about 12:30 he started throwing up. He threw up 5 or 6 times in 5 hours and then we really started worrying about dehydration. I called the nurse and she was pretty certain that it was just a reaction from the anesthetics. He did start drinking and keeping water down the rest of the night.
On Friday, Tyson was feeling so much better. He wanted to eat everything in sight. But, was still only allowed to eat soft foods and liquid. He ate quite a bit yesterday, but mostly his diet was still liquids. But, we did decorate his room a little.

I'm so sorry it was a rough recovery for you. Trinity had a bad time after this same surgery when she was three and ended up in the ER & then for two days in Emanuel for dehydration & pain management. So much for an easy in-and-out surgery, huh?? I'm glad he's on the mend.
