How in the WORLD...

...are we moving in 20 days?
How has the time gone by so fast over the last month and a half? It truely doesn't seem possible that we are going to be moving back to OR in 20 days! There still seems like there is much to do before we move, but I guess somehow we have to get it all done. Perhaps there isn't all that much to do (besides packing up the house) but, you know me (if you do)... I always have to do lists, and there is always a lot on them. So in my perspective there is still a lot to do.
On a positive note, the weather is awesome. Currently it is 79. It is supposed to get to the mid 80s today, and tomorrow it is supposed to be almost 90 (well maybe that's too hot, but I won't complain!).
I guess I should also say that Tyson, Keely and I have our tickets. We fly out from OK at 7:00am on the 20th and get into Portland at 10:30ish am. We are using ABF again as it is the same price as any other way to move. We will get the truck on Monday the 19th and pack it then. Luke will put the few things (like the pack and play, etc.) into the truck after he takes us to the airport. Hopefully Luke and James (his friend that's driving up with him) will be able to leave by 8:00am for sure.
So, if you live in Portland we hope to see you soon!

Made Me Smile!

As a parent you always want your child to behave perfectly. I find myself feeling like I expect too much most of the time from Tyson. We have gone through a rough couple of months with him. But, all of a sudden, his behavior and his obedience has changed and he is so much better behaved. Yesterday was a little more trying again because he didn't take a nap, but on the whole he has matured SOOOOOO much!
When I picked Tyson up from Sunday School, I heard a glowing report. For the past little while, I always ask his teachers how he behaved. He has so much energy and loves to wrestle. (There are so many girls in his class and most girls just don't like to wrestly...not sure why? :)) Anyway, when I picked him up, his teacher said he is the best behaved child in his class. He is always the first one to get his chair and sit waiting for directions. He is always the first one to put his chair away and wait patiently (what patiently?). And is such a good helper. (MY TYSON?!?!)
This was a glowing moment. I cannot tell you how much I praised him!

Keely's 4 Months!

So today is Keely's 4 month birthday. Her life has flown by. It is very hard to believe that she is already 4 months!
She is VERY, VERY verbal! And VERY, VERY loud when she talks! She has not rolled over yet, although it wouldn't take much at all for her to roll the complete way over. When she is trying to roll over, she always chews on the hand that is in the way of her getting fully over, but the rest of her body is completely over. It is quite fun to watch.

She has started the teething process. A couple of weeks ago, she really started drooling and chomping down on her hands. She is also a little fussy from it. Who knows when the teeth will actually come through!

She has lost more hair. The back of head really doesn't have much left. She still has a thick section of hair right down the middle. So we usually pull some to the side with a clip or put a headband in. We are still not sure what color of hair she will end up with. My hair was dark for quite awhile and after it fell out it came in platinum. Her little fuzzies that are coming in do look like they are going to be very blonde.

Here's some new pictures of our sweet little girl. She brightens every day!

The First three are especially for Auntie Colette. She bought the cute outfit and the great shades!

Keely has so much hair in the middle section that I usually pin some of it over. So, I thought I would try twisting some of it back. It stayed so well that way. At the end of the day this is what her hair looked like after I took out the clips.

Keely loves sitting in her bumbo! She likes to be involved in everything.

She has her doctor's appointment tomorrow, so I'll give you the update on her stats then.

Things are Coming Together!

It feels so good that there are so many things crossed off my list! Today, I put in our "30-day" notice. It is actually a few more than 30 days, but I wanted to get it done. We will be packing up the truck on May 20th. Well, I am not sure if I will be here or not. I am flying with the kids and am still looking into flights. Luke is going to be driving with one or two of his friends. So, things are coming together.
Now we just have to find a place to live.

TO MOVE...

...OR NOT TO MOVE...THAT IS THE QUESTION!
So as we are approaching the end of school (this semester) there is a HUGE pull to move back to Portland. Family, friends, school is cheaper, Luke can finish faster, trees, mountains, green, no wind (or tornadoes), free babysitting...etc.
As if right now, we are moving. We will put our 30-day notice in later this week...and that will definitely mean that we are moving. The only reason we wouldn't be moving is if God all of a sudden showed us that we need to stay.
So, between now and about 5 weeks, we have a lot of things that we need to get done. It will be a lot easier after next week is finished because Luke will not have school anymore and that will allow him to help get things scratched off my to-do list. (I pretty much have a to-do list everyday...and then I have a ongoing to-do list that needs to get done over a period of time.) The to-do list that I have right now is fairly overwhelming. But it is nice to have gotten 3 things crossed off yesterday!

Tyson's Speaking

So Tyson has some funny things he is saying right now. He went through a stage (I think I blogged about it) where he was adding "s" to everything to make it plural. Well, he got over that stage awhile ago, but now he does it in a different way. He has started putting adjectives in front of all of his words. But, usually, there is a space between the adjective and the noun. And most often the adjective is plural. It is quite funny.
For example: Yesterday we went over to the park and there was a fire truck that pulled into the parking lot as we got there. So, me in all my excitement said, "Tyson, look there's a fire truck!" He turned and said," Mama, fires-----truck."
It is great to see him taking the jump. We have been worried that he might not be hearing. We are having hearing tests done this week to see if he has a speech delay because of hearing problems or just because.

Potty Training

So...we are potty training. Tyson generally stays dry (with the help of mom...I usually take him to the potty). We are still working on him going poop on the potty. Yesterday, for the first time, Tyson pooped in the tub. Today he started to go in his pull-up, so I quickly set him on the potty. When he went in the potty, he looked down and said, "Nemo?" So, I went on to explain to him what it really was.
Oh the joys of parenting. :)

Tyson's Spider

Last Saturday we went to the Tulsa Workshops. Tyson got to play in 2 different blow up play places. One was just a jumping place and the other was a obstacle course with a slide at the end. He played here for at least an hour.

The other excitement for him was an ORANGE balloon spider that a clown made for him. (He is obsessed with ORANGE!) He had to wait in a line for quite a while to get his spider made, but I think he thought it was worth the while. He is still playing with the spider every day.

The spider started as a 6 legged spider (maybe the clown didn't know that a spider is needs 8 legs). Now he only has 5 legs because I accidently popped one of his legs.

Diaper Pictures

The other night, Keely and Tyson had just had a bath...I got Keely ready (except for clothes) and then went to get Tyson out of the bath. When he was in his diaper, he thought he was being funny by laying by Keely on her blanket.
These are the resulting pictures...well not all of them. :)
